Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Light Show Creator ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — email address, authentication identifiers, and profile data provided by you or your sign-in provider (for example Google or Apple)
- Show content — light show titles, descriptions, sequence data, timing metadata, and related project information you create or import
- Usage and device data — approximate logs such as pages visited, feature usage, browser type, IP address, and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the Service
- Communications — messages you send us for support or feedback
- Payment information — when you subscribe, Stripe collects and processes your payment details. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, and status on your account so we can provide paid features. We do not store full card numbers.
Audio files you load in the editor for timing or auto-generate may be processed in your browser and/or temporarily handled by the Service to analyze or generate sequences. We do not sell your music files. Avoid uploading sensitive personal audio you do not want processed.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and protect accounts
- Save and sync your light shows
- Generate sequences, previews, and exports you request
- Diagnose bugs, monitor performance, and prevent abuse
- Communicate service-related notices when needed
- Process subscriptions, prevent fraud, and manage billing
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers — infrastructure, auth, and payment partners that help us run the Service (for example hosting, authentication, and Stripe for subscriptions). These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data they process
- Legal requirements — when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued confidentiality protections where applicable
You may choose to export show files and share them yourself (for example copying a .fseq to a USB drive). That sharing is under your control.
4. Authentication providers
If you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google or Apple), that provider may share limited account information with us according to your settings and their privacy policies. Review those providers' policies for details on their practices.
5. Data retention
We retain account and show data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited logs and backups for security, legal, and operational purposes for a reasonable period. You may request deletion of your account data subject to legal retention requirements.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, session management, and basic product functionality. Your browser settings may allow you to control cookies; disabling them may affect sign-in and other features.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.
9. International users
The Service may be hosted in the United States or other countries. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand that information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.
10. Your choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access or update account information
- Request deletion of personal data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Export certain data you provided
To exercise these rights, contact us through the channels listed on the Service. You can also stop using the Service and close your account when account deletion is available in the product or via support.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
12. Contact
